Step 1
Using a potatoe masher or fork, mash contents of a one pound thawed bag of frozen unsweetened strawberries. Then place 2 tbsp sour cream in a one cup measuring cup. Then fill the rest of cup with chilled heavy whipping cream. Scrape mixture into a bowl and beat with electric mixture until thick and stiff. Then fold in 8 broken up meringues. Place layer of strawberries, then cream, then strawberries, then cream, until done. Top with part of a meringue. WE TRIED THIS 2/12 AND EVERYONE LOVED IT, ESPECIALYL THE MERINGUES.
