Mexican Wedding Cakes

This came from my sister-in-law, Iva McManus, in 1973. It is a good Christmas cookie.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter. Add powdered sugar gradually; cream until smooth. Add flour, salt and vanilla. Blend. (Mixture is stiff.) Pinch off small pieces of dough (balls). Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. Roll cookies in powdered sugar immediately after removing from oven.
