Ingredients

    cup chopped pecans or walnuts

  • 1

    pkg. yellow cake mix

  • 1

    pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 4

    eggs

  • 1/2

    cup cold water

  • 1/2

    cup oil

  • 1/2

    cup dark rum

  • Glaze: 1/4 lb. butter

  • 1/4

    water

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    cup dark rum

Directions

Sprinkle nuts over bottom of greased and floured 10" tube or Bundt pan. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over nuts. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Cool 10 mins. and invert on serving plate. Prick top deeply. Drizzle glaze evenly on top and sides and allow cake to absorb glaze. repeart until all glaze is used. Glaze: Melt butter, add sugar and water. Boil 5 mins. stirring constantly. Stir in rum.
