Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 2 T. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, sugar, and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoon into balls. Mix sugar and cinnamon, roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet.

Heat oven to 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
