Ingredients
- 2 cups (15-ounce can) garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 cup finely minced parsley leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Ground pepper to taste

Step 1
In a food processor or blender, place garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt; blend until pureed. If the consistency is too thick, add some water. Remove to bowl. Refrigerate for several hours.
