Ingredients
- 1 loaf Challah bread
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 1 T vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 T vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
-Cut bread into 3/4inch cubes.
-Place bread in 9x13 casserole dish.
-Whisk together in large bowl, eggs, milk, vanilla, salt and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
-Pour mixture over bread, let stand for 10min.
-Preheat oven to 350*.
**The bread mixture will bake for 15 min before adding the caramel sauce and another 20-30 min until set.
-To make the caramel, heat butter, 1/2 n 1/2 and 1 cup brown sugar over med heat.
-Cook for 5min, add vanilla and cook for 1 min longer.
-Bake the bread for 15 min and then pour the caramel ove the top, some sauce will be left over.
-Continue to bake for 20-30 minutes until set.
