Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 sticks of butter, cold
- 1 can fried onion rings
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup milk

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift first five ingredients together. Cut butter in the flour mixture with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add onions. Stir in the egg and about 1/2 of the milk. Add up to 1/4 cup more milk as needed to make a soft dough. Turn the dough lightly onto a floured surface and lightly knead 3 or 4 times. Toll out to 3/4 inch thickenss and cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter place biscuits on a greased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees.
