Strawberries - Chocolate Dipped
- 1 lb large ripe strawberries (long stems are best)
- 1/2 lb (8 oz) chopped chocolate or chocolate chips - milk, semi-sweet or dark
- 1/4 lb (4 oz) white chocolate (optional)
- 1 cup chopped nuts - pecans or almonds (optional)
Rinse berries and pat until completely dry. Place on parchment or wax paper.
Melt chocolate in microwave, or low heat, or double boiler.
Dip each strawberry coating 1/2 to 3/4 complete allowing excess to drip back into bowl. Place on parchment or wax paper and do not move until chocolate is set.
Can drizzle with white melted chocolate.
Can roll in chopped nuts after dipping before allowing to set.
Once strawberries are set/decorated place in fridge for 30 min.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
