GRANDMA JEAN’S SOUR CREAM BUNDT CAKE

A wonderful coffee cake! Looks pretty in a designed small bundt pan.

Ingredients

  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 pint dairy sour cream
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well; stir in vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients, then add alternatively with sour cream.
Mix just enough to keep the batter smooth.
Spread ½ of the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch tube/bundt pan.

Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle 1/3 of the topping over the batter in the pan.

Spread the remaining batter carefully over the topping, then sprinkle with the remaining topping.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes.

Cool 5 minutes; turn out onto serving plate.

Makes 12 servings.
