• 1/3 cup blueberries
• 12 halved fresh strawberries
• 4 large fresh basil leaves
• 4 tsp of sugar
• 750 milliliter btl. sparkling wine (prosecco)

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together 1/3 cup of blueberries, 12 halved strawberries, 4 basil leaves & 4 tsp of sugar in a medium bowl. Crush berries & leaves with a wooden spoon. Chill for 30 minutes. Stir in 1 cup of sparkling wine into the fruit mixture, and pour through a fine wire mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding any solids. Add remaining wine from 750 milliliter bottle to pitcher. Garnish with lemon slices and strawberries. Serve immediately or chill up to 24 hours. Frozen berries can be a substitute.
