Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 3/4 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 head green cabbage (finely chopped, not shredded)
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper (approx.)
  • 3/4 teaspoon table salt (approx.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (approx.)
  • 2 pckgs. pillsbury pizza crust (premade refrigerated dough)

Preparation

Step 1

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Finely chop the cabbage and onions.
2 Brown ground beef and onions on medium heat in a large skillet.
3 When beef and onions are cooked, add the cabbage to skillet, turn heat down to medium-low.
4 Gently stir together until cabbage becomes soft. Take skillet off of heat.
5 Add salt, pepper and garlic powder - adjust to preference.
6 Roll out all pizza dough into a large rectangle. Cut into 4 sections. Spoon meat mixture into the center of each of the dough sections - the more you can fit, the better. Compress onto dough.
7 With each of the dough sections, take all edges of the dough and fold up and over to have the edges meet at the top of the meat mixture, wrapping the edges over each other, sealing the pastry closed.
8 Place each pastry seam-side down onto a large greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
9 Enjoy!
