Ingredients
- Doubled recipe:
- 8 cups regular (not quick) oatmeal
- 1 1/3 cup dessicated coconut
- 1 1/3 cup long coconut
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup cashews chopped
- 2/3 cup almonds chopped
- 2/3 cup walnut pieces
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup sunflower seeds (raw)
- 2/3 cup sesame seeds
- 2 cups bran flakes
- 2 cup skim milk powder
- 1/2 cup or less flax
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 2/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup Fibre First for crispiness
- 2 cup salad oil
- 1 tsp. maple flavouring
- 1 tsp. almond flavouring
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. honey
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients in large stainless steel bowl (or shallow pan that can go in oven).
Mix liquids and pour over dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Divide into two small roasting pans.
Bake at 300 degrees for 1/2 hour or until brown, stirring every 10 minutes.
Stir a couple of times as cooling as well.
