Ingredients
- 12 italian hot sausage
- 3 lrg or 4-5 med russet potatoes skins on, sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper or to taste
- 1 lrg onion choppped
- 4 garlic cloves crushed
- 8 slices bacon chopped and crisped
- 4 cups chopped kale
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups whipping cream

Preparation
Step 1
Squeeze sausage out of casings and fry in pan until cooked. Drain off oil and blot with paper towel until most of fat is absorbed.Transfer sausage into a large pot, add potatoes,red pepper flakes, onion, garlic,bacon and chicken broth. Simmer until potatoes are tender approx 20 minutes. Add kale and cream. Serve with foccacia bread or garlic breadsticks.
