Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c sliced olives with pimento
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 c. dry vermouth
  • 8oz. can tomato sauce
  • cooking oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • black pepper, to taste

Step 1

Saute onion, pepper in olive oil in skillet. Add ground beeg and balance of ingredients (except vermouth and tomato sauce). Cook until meat is no longer pink. Reduce heat to low. Add vermouth and tomato sauce. Cover in skillet and cook on low for about 20 minutes. Serve over white rice.
