Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped red pepper
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 c. chopped yellow pepper
- 2 jalapenos, seeded & diced
- 1 lb. ground sirloin
- 5 tsp. ground chili powder
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1 (15.5 oz) can pinto beans
- 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. In large skillet, heat olive oil. Add onion, peppers; cook till veggies begin to soften about 4 mins.
Add sirloin. Cook, stirring occasionally till meat is lightly browned, about 8 mins. Drain fat.
Add chili powder, oregano, and cumin, stirring 1 min. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper. Bring to simmer. Reduce heat to med-low and cook till thickened, about 25 mins. During last 10 mins, add pinto beans, stirring well. Remove from heat.
Add cheddar, cream cheese, sour cream, worcestershire, and cayenne, stirring until well combined. Pour into a 2qt baking dish. Garnish w/ tomatoes if desired. Bake till edges bubble, about 10 mins.
