Ingredients
- Fresh peaches (15 peaches makes about 3 pints)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Peel or skin fully ripe peaches. Cut off portions that are bad.
Leave peaches in halves, if possible. Wash once.
Place peaches in a pot, add water to about halfway over the fruit, add 1 1/2 cups sugar and bring all to a boil.
Stir and continue boiling until done, about 15 to 18 minutes.
Ladle hot fruit mixture into clean hot jars. Tighten down lids and rings, fill jars nearly full.
Let set for 12 hours, the recheck lids to make sure they are tight.
