Ingredients
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cayenne
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 3/4 c. chopped slab bacon
- 1 lb. green beans, cleaned & trimmed
- Salt & fresh ground black pepper
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Flaky sea salt
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400.
In med. bowl, whisk brown sugar, cayenne and cinnamon. Toss bacon in the mixture.
In a medium skillet set over medium heat, cook the bacon stirring frequently, until crisp, about 7-10 minutes. Watch carefully and don't burn. Remove bacon, reserving the drippings.
Toss the green beans in the reserved bacon drippings. Season with salt and pepper, and spread on baking sheet. Bake until tender and beginning to blister, about 15 minutes.
Transfer to serving plate, drizzle with lemon juice to taste, and top with bacon candy pieces and sea salt. Serve warm.
