Ham & Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 18 slices white bread (one loaf) cubed
  • 8 oz cooked ham (sausage, bacon, vegetarian "meat")
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup diced swiss cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes cereal
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Lightly grease 9x13 dish. Line the bottom of the dish with 1/2 the bread cubes. Sprinkle with meat, cheeses and top with remaining bread cubes.
Beat together the eggs, milk and onion powder.
Pour evenly over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 375.
Blend crushed cornflakes and melted butter. Spread evenly over casserole.
Bake 40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving
