Ingredients
- 3 eggs - whole
- 3 egg - yokes
- 200 grams of toasted almonds
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of sweetened wine
- 400 grams of flour
- 250 grams of sugar
- 1 package of yeast
- pinch of salt
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 150°C.
Beat 2 whole eggs and 3 egg yokes together. Add the sugar, flour, salt, milk and wine. Mix together. Chop the almonds, but not too fine. Add the almonds and the yeast to the mixture.
Form the dough into a roll, like a french bread stick. Cover a baking pan with the baking paper. Place the dough form on the baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Take the last egg and beat until frothy.
Remove the cantuccini from the oven. Brush the beated egg over the top. Cut into equal sized pieces about 2 centimeters wide.
Bake for another 10 minutes.
Serve with a glass of wine.
