Made these for my daughters senior English class and they went crazy over them! Made in larger pan and made extra glaze to cover marshmallows. Did not measure marshmallows and needed more chocolate to cover them. Awesome recipe! Thanks! Would give six stars if I could.

I made them in an 11x7 pan and it worked out fine--they just aren't as thick as a standard brownie. Thought they were good just disappointed the graham cracker ended up soft-was hoping for crunch.

Agreed! I don't have an 11x7 so I used an 8x8 to begin with. Fits fine as is in the 8x8, although I am sure having double of this recipe isn't a bad thing. Delicious!

I just made these, following the directions (I had a copy of the Feb 2012 magazine, page 138.) Half way through I realized that the quantity of ingredients wouldn't be enough for an 11 x 7 pan. The recipe as written must be for an 8 x 8 pan. I ended up doubling everything and it fit fine into an 11 x 7. Still too warm to eat - I'll add a note on taste later. But, wanted folks to have a heads up on the size of pan. Editors may want to correct this on the original recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 9 honey graham cracker squares
  • 1 cup tiny marshmallows

Servings 24
Cooking time 25mins

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 11x7x1 1/2-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease the pan. Set pan aside.

2. In a medium saucepan melt the butter and chocolate over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Stir in flour.

3. Spread half the batter in the prepared pan. Top with graham crackers (divide as needed to evenly top the batter). Sprinkle marshmallows on the graham crackers, but do not let them touch the sides of the pan. Carefully spread the remaining batter on the marshmallows and graham crackers, covering them completely.

4. Bake brownies for 25 minutes or until set. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
