Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

• 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
• 1 Cup Crunchy Peanut Butter
• 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
• 2 Eggs
• 1/3 Cup Water
• 1/4 Cup Shortening
• 1 1/2 Cups Chocolate Chips
• 2/3 Cups Nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease jelly roll pan. Blend dry cake mix, peanut butter and brown sugar in a large bowl. Reserve 2/3 cups of the crumb mixture. Blend remaining crumb mixture, eggs, water, and shortening until moistened. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter in pan. Stir nuts into reserved crumb mixture. Sprinkle over batter. Bake about 25 minutes.
