Vegetables: Bill Gaither's Collard Greens

Ingredients

  • Fresh collards equivalent to 2 packages
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2-1 T salt
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 T sugar
  • 2-4 T vegetable oil
  • 1/2 T black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Wash greens
Cut out stems
Roll up several leaves and cut lengthwise then cut tip to toe
Cook on low about 1 hour
