Lemon Bars

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • Powered sugar


Cooking time 15mins


Step 1

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, blend together softened butter, 2 cups flour and 1.2 cup sugar.
Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. The bars will firm up as they cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Chill.

Bars may be frozen.

Variation: Use limes instead of lemons and tint with green food coloring.
