Cinnamom-Glazed Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon Glaze:
  • 9 " pie crust
  • 1 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 c. frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 Tb. butter
  • 1/4 c. frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Place crust in a pie plate and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Blend together sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, apple juice, egg, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth. Pour into baked pie crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, or until center is set; cool. In a skillet over medium heat, cook apples in butter until apples are tender but still hold their shape. Arrange over pie filling; drizzle with Cinnamon Glaze. Serve warm or chilled. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator. Serves 8.

For Cinnamon Glaze: Combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat; blend well. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened.
