Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons rum extract
- 1 egg
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 - 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 - 3 tablespoons milk or half & half
- 1 teaspoon rum extract OR Bailey's
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients except flour and nutmeg. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. Stir in flour and nutmeg, mix well. Divide dough into 6 parts. On a lightly floured surface, shape each part into long rope, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut into 3 inch lengths; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
In small bowl combine frosting ingredients. Spread on cookies and sprinkle with nutmeg.
