Ingredients

  • 1/2 c chopped onion
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 16 oz can tomatoes
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 1 T thyme
  • 1/8 t hot sauce
  • 2 t cornstarch
  • 16 oz frozen shelled shrimp
  • 3 c cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1

Spray skillet. Cook onion, celery, and garlic until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and hot sauce. Simmer 45 minutes over medium heat, until bubbly. Mix cornstarch in 1 T cold water and add to sauce. Cook until bubbly. Add shrimp and green pepper. Cook 5 minutes until hot. Serve over rice.
