Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 14oz jar pizza sauce
  • 1 c frozen stir fry veggies, yellow, red, green peppers and onions, thawed and drained
  • 1/4 of a 6oz can of no salt added tomato paste
  • 8 whole wheat buns split and toasted
  • 4 1oz slices part skim mozzarella cheese, halved
  • 1/8 c sliced black olives

Preparation

Step 1

Coat a very large skillet with Pam. Heat over medium high heat. Brown the turkey until no longer pink, stirring to break up.

In a slow cooker put turkey, pizza sauce, vegetables, and paste.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hrs or on high for 3-4 hrs.
Spoon 1/2 c mixture onto each bun and top with half slice of cheese and some olives.
