Ingredients

    cup unsweetened cocoa

    cup sour cream

  • cups milk chocolate morsels

  • WHITE FROSTING

  • ½

    cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3

    cups powdered sugar

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 to 3

    tablespoons milk

Directions

Sift together cocoa and next 3 ingredients in a medium bowl; set aside. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating until well blended. Stir in vanilla. Add cocoa mixture to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with cocoa mixture. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in morsels. Place 12 paper baking cups in a muffin pan; spoon batter evenly into cups, filling completely. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack and cool 30 minutes. For frosting, beat butter with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until creamy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Beat in vanilla and 2 tablespoons milk, adding additional milk if necessary for desired consistency. Spread cupcakes evenly with white frosting. Makes 12
