BAKED HAM WITH SPICED HONEY BUTTER GLAZE

Ingredients

  • 1 cured ham
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground mace
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups pork or chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

Place ham in baking pan. Cut about 20 evenly spaced small slits in skin, using fingers to create hole in meat.

Combine all ingredients and process until smooth. Usling bulb baster squeeze glaze into holes. Spread thin coating of glaze over top and sides., Pour stock into bottom of pan. Bake uncovered in a 300 degrees oven about 45 minutes. Bake 3-3-1/2 hours in all. Glaze every 45 minutes.
