Ballymaloe Brown Bread

Bread made famous by the Ballymaloe restaurant. A heavy whole wheat bread lightly sweetened w/ molasses.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 4 Tb molasses
- 2 Tb coconut oil
- 3 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
- 3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp yeast

Step 1
Mix ingredients in Kitchenaid mixer. Remove dough to flat surface & knead until pliable & glass pane test. Put dough in greased covered bowl to rise approx 2-3 hours. Punch down &...
Or Bread Machine:
Put ingredients in bread machine in order given. Set on dough cycle. When done..
Shape dough into loaves, covers& let rise for 45 min-1 hour. Slash loaves, top w/ seeds. Bake at 400 degrees in steamed oven for 30-35 min.
