Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped roasted red peppers red peppers
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients except almonds in 2 to 2 1/2 crock pot cover; cook on low 3 to 4 hours. sprikle with almonds

Tip: To roast peppers, place on a rack in a broiler pan 3 to 5 inches from heat. Turn peppers often until blistered and charred on all sides. Transfer to a plastic bac; seal and let stand 15 to 20 m inutes to loosen skins. Remove skins with a paring knife. Cut peppers in half and remove seeds and steems before using.
