Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. milk (whole, butter or skim)
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix, unsweetened
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa

Preparation

Step 1

Use either three 8x4 loaf pans, five 6x3 mini loaf pans, one tube or a bundt pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Dust chocolate chips with 1 tsp. flour and set aside.

Combine wet ingredients. Beat dry ingredients into wet for 3 minutes. Batter will be very thick. Add chocolate chips to batter. Pour evenly into pans.

Bake standard loaves for 45-50 minutes. Bake mini loaves for 35-40 minutes. Bake tube/bundt for 50-60 minutes. Bake times are approximate as ovens vary.

Check loaves with toothpick 5 minutes prior to total baking time. Cool completely before storing.
