Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lg. Head of Cabbage, shredded (about 12 cups)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 6 Tbs. Butter, divided
- 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 8 oz. American Cheese, cubed
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1/4 Cup Dry Bread Crumbs

Step 1
Cook cabbage in salt water till tender; drain. In a large skillet, saute onion in 5 Tbs. butter until tender. Add soup and mix well. Add cheese, cook and stir till melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cabbage, salt and pepper. Put in a 2 quart casserole dish. Melt remaining butter and stir in bread crumbs. Let cook till lightly browned; sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6-8.
