  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9x13 in pan. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended. Press dough on bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven; sprinkle chocolate chips over top and let stand until chips melt. Spread chips like frosting. Scor into 2x1 1/2 inch bars while warm. Cool completely in pan or wire rack before cutting and removing from pan.
