Crab Rice Cakes

Ingredients

  • ◾1/2 cup chicken broth
  • ◾1/2 cup brown rice, uncooked
  • ◾1 egg
  • ◾1 can crabmeat
  • ◾2 tbsp. parmesan cheese
  • ◾pinch of Tastefully Simple garlic garlic
  • ◾pinch Tastefully Simple seasoned salt

Preparation

Step 1

I started by bringing the chicken broth to a boil in a medium saucepan. I stirred in the rice, covered the pan and removed it from the heat. While the rice/broth mixture was sitting for 5 minutes, I beat an egg in a large mixing bowl.

I added the crab, Tastefully Simple seasonings, cheese and, when ready, the cooked rice. After mixing all together, I created 4 patties. I set them aside and let them stand for 5 minutes.

After the 5 minutes, I added them to a sprayed pan and cooked 5 minutes per side, until heated through and slightly browned.
I then transferred them to a lined, sprayed baking sheet and put them under the broiler for 2 minutes per side.
