Ingredients
- 5 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted, plus 3 tbs. butter
- 2 cups warm water (110-120F)
- 21/2 cups waffle mix
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 4 Fuji or Gala apples, peeled, cored and each cut into 9 slices
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 12 bacon slices, cooked until crispy
- Maple syrup for serving

Step 1
1. Using 5 Tbs. melted butter, the warm water and mix, prepare waffles according to package instructions. Keep warm.
2. In nonstick fry pan over medium-high heat melt 3 Tbs. butter. Add sugar and cinnamon; cook, stirring frequently, until sugar has melted, 30-60 seconds; add apples and vanilla; cook, stirring frequently until tender, 12-14 minutes. Stir in lemon juice.
3. Stack waffles on individual plates; top with apples and bacon. Drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
