Ingredients
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup salad oil or bacon drippings
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 (17oz) can cream-style corn
- 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves,pressed
Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine dry igredients. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until all ingredients are moistened.
2. Pour in to a hot, greased 13X9X2" baking pan.
3. Bake at 400F for 45 to 55 minutes or until browned.
