Exchange regular sugar for Splenda no calorie sweetener
Use reduced calorie margarine
Use 1/3 cup nuts versus 1/2 cup
Based on 15 slices per loaf

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup bananas, mashed
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice (or vinegar)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Cream sugar and margarine, add eggs and banana, beat until smooth.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add to above mixture.
Add lemon juice to mik (to sour the milk), mix. Dissolve soda in milk mixture, add to the above mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 325° F. for 50 to 60 minutes.
