Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2/3 C finely chopped onion
- 3/4 C finely chopped celery
- 7 salted soda crackers, crushed
- 1 C hand-crushed corn flakes
- 1 large egg
- 1 T plum sauce
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp whole oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 T flour
- 6 hamburger buns, split and buttered
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first five ingredients in bowl. Mix well.
Beat egg with fork in small bowl. Add next 7 ingredients. Beat well with fork. Add to beef and mix in. Shape into 6 patties. Let stand in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before cookings. Fry or grill about 3 minutes per side until no pink remains.
