Pineapple Casserole

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 slices white bread, cubed
  • 1 (20-oz) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds if desired.



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly butter a 9x13 or 2-quart casserole dish.
Cream the butter and sugar together with a mixer. add the eggs one at a time. Use a spatula to fold in the bread cubes and pineapple with juice. Stir the mixture gently until just incorporated and then pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
Bake 1 hour until light brown and bubbly. Let casserole cool for about 20 minutes before serving.
