Ingredients

  • 6 CUPS ICING SUGAR, SIFTED
  • 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 6 to 8 tbsps milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine 3 cups icing sugar, butter, shortening, 4 tbsps milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add remaining icing sugar, beat until light and fluffy, adding more milk 1 tbsp at a time, as needed for good spreading consistency.
