Crust:
Preheat oven to 450. Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Blend in flour. Press evenly into the bottom of an 8 ½” springform pan. Spread jam evenly over the bottom of the crust.

Filling:
Beat all Filling ingredients together with an electric mixer until smooth and light. Spread over jam.

Topping:
Toss apples, sugar and cinnamon together to coat well. Layer apples over filling. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 10 minutes and then reduce heat to 400 for 25-30 minutes or until set and apples are tender. Cool slightly, then remove pan rim.

Drizzle:
Melt chocolate chips and butter in the microwave. Stir it quickly to get it nice and smooth and a good consistency. Dip a fork in the chocolate and just wave it back and forth in a quick motion over the cake.
