Ingredients

  • Batter:

  • 2 1/2

    c self rising flour

  • pinch of slat

  • 2

    tbs. sugar

  • 1

    tsp. ground cinn.

  • 1/2

    c butter melted

  • 2

    egg yolks

  • 1

    c mild, plus extra for glazing

  • Filling

  • 1

    tsp. ground cinn

  • 1/4

    c firmly packed brown sugar

  • 2

    tbs sugar

  • 1

    tbls butter, melted

  • Frosting:

  • 1

    c conf. sugar sifted

  • 2

    tbs cream cheese, softened

  • 1

    tbs butter softened

  • 2

    tbs boiling water

  • 1

    tsp. vanilla

Directions

Mix flour, salt, sugar and cinn. together in a bowl. Whisk the butter & egg yolks and the mix together and combine with the dry ingred to make aq soft dough. Turn out onto lg. piece of wax paper lightly sprinkly with flour and roll out to a rectangle measuring 12 x 10 To make the filling mix the ingred. together, spread evenly over the doughn and roll up to form a log. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 8 even-size slices and pack into the prepared pan. Brush gently ith extra milk and bake in the oven for 30-35 min or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 min before removing from the pan. To make frosting. sift the conf. sugar into a lg. bowl and make a well in the center. Place the cream cheese and butter in the center, pour the water and stir to mix. Add extra boiling water, a few drops at a time until frosing coats the back of a spoon. Stri in the vanilla. Drizzle over the rolls.
