Ingredients
- cake
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks oleo
- 1 c water
- 5 T. cocoa
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- Frosting
- 1 stick butter
- 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
cake sift first four ingredients in a bowl. in a saucepan, heat and bring to boil next three ingredients. then pour into bowl with the dry ing. mix well. add remaining ing. mix well pour int greased cookie sheet bake 375deg for 15-20 min
frosting melt butter with buttermilk. mix with remaining frosting ingredients. frost while cake is hot optional. sprinkle pecans after icing
