Crunchy Apple-Pear Salad

Toss together green Granny 'smith apples with red Anjou and yellow Barlett pears in this recipe...so colorful!

Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • 2 applesl cored and cubed
  • 2 pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 2 heads butter lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 c. crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/2 c. choppped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 c. oil
  • 6 T. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 t. celery seed
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Toss apples and pears with lemon juice; drain.l Arrange lettuce on 6 salad plates; top with apples, pears and gargonzola cheese. Drizle sald with dressing; sprinkle with walnuts. Serve immediately.


Dressing:
Combine ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid; cover. Shake well until dressing is blenxed and sugar dissolves. Keep refrigerated.
