Morning Pecan Surprise

Ingredients

• TOPPING:
• 1 loaf cinnamon raisin bread, cubed
• 1 tube of breakfast sausage, crumbled and cooked
• 6-8 beaten eggs
• 1 and 1/2 cup milk
• 1 and 1/2 cup half and half
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 Tbsp maple syrup (ok w/o - very rich still!)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Place cubed bread in greased 9x13 pan. Throw cooked sausage over bread. Beat eggs and other ingredients together and pour over sausage and bread. Place topping in clumps over all. Bake 30-40 minutes.
