Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the Peanut Blossom cookie recipe. I don't always have kisses on hand, so I used several partial packages of chocolate chips in these cookies. Same great chocolatey taste without all the work of unwrapping the kisses!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 12 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. Cream butters and sugars with mixer until well
blended

3. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, mixing well with mixer

4. Spoon flour into cup, level off with a knife

5. Stir in flour and salt by hand, mix well

6. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased baking pans

7. Flatten cookies with a fork, pressing down in
opposite directions

8. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
