Tomato Sauce

  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 12 tbsp EVOO
  • 2 28 oz cans whole plum tomatoes in tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt

Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 35mins


Step 1

1) Smash garlic with back of knife

2) Over medium heat, cook garlic in 6 tbps EVOO until golden brown

3) Add tomatoes and generous pinch of salt and pepper

4) Cook until thick and no longer watery

5) Crush tomatoes with back of wooden spoon

6) Add sugar and salt

7) Cook until the oil turns red
