Ingredients

    cup onion

  • 2

    tbs butter

  • 1

    can mushrooms stems

  • 2

    cups celery

  • 1

    can bean sprouts

  • 1

    tbs sugar

  • 2

    tbsp cornstarch

  • 3

    tbs soy sauce

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 3

    tbsp mushroom liquid

  • 1 1/2

    cups cut up chicken

  • 1 1/2

    cups water or chicken broth

  • chow mein noodles

Directions

Saute onions and mushrooms in butter. Add water or chicken broth (1 1/2 cups) to mushroom liquid. Stir into onion, mushrooms. Add celery, bean sprouts, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Cook until thickens. Add chicken. Serve over hot chow mein noodles.
