Ingredients

  • 1

    teaspoon each salt and chili powder

  • 1/2

    teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4

    teaspoon each onion powder,

  • celery seed, and black pepper

  • 2 1/2

    pound beef brisket, trimmed of excess fat

  • for sauce :

  • 1/2

    cup each ketchup and chili sauce

  • 1/4

    cup brown sugar

  • 2

    Tablespoons each Worcestershire sauce

  • and cider vinegar

  • 1

    Tablespoon liquid smoke

  • 1/2

    teaspoon ground mustard

Directions

Combine salt, garlic powder, onion powder, celery seed, salt and pepper. Place brisket in crock pot. Rub mixture over the brisket. Pour half of the sauce around the brisket. Cook 4-5 hours at high, then cook at low until tender. Serve with the rest of the sauce on the side.
